These Terms govern your access to and use of SmartScan AI — our AI-native document intelligence service, currently available through the WhatsApp assistant and, in future, mobile and web apps. By using the service or joining the waitlist, you agree to these Terms.
SmartScan AI reads, understands, organizes, and connects documents you provide, extracts information from them, and surfaces obligations and deadlines. The service is offered on an evolving basis and is currently in early access; features may change, and some are not yet available.
You must be at least [16/18] and able to form a binding agreement. You are responsible for activity under your account or linked WhatsApp number and for keeping access credentials secure.
You retain all rights to the documents and content you provide. You grant SmartScan AI a limited license to host, process, and analyze that content solely to provide the service to you — to understand, connect, store, and surface your documents. We do not use your document content to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell it.
The WhatsApp assistant operates over Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform; your use of WhatsApp is also subject to Meta's and WhatsApp's terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party platforms.
During early access the service is provided "as available". We may add, change, suspend, or remove features, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
The SmartScan AI name, software, design, and content (excluding your documents) are owned by [Legal Entity Name] and protected by applicable laws. These Terms grant you no rights to our intellectual property beyond using the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and SmartScan AI is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from reliance on automated output, missed deadlines, or third-party platforms. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You may stop using the service and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the service and its users.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts of [Jurisdiction], unless local mandatory law provides otherwise.
